CONTEXT New York

The second edition of CONTEXT New York will take place May 3 - 7, 2017 in Manhattan. The fair will join Art New York at Pier 94, located on the Hudson River at 12th Avenue at 55th Street. A VIP Private Preview will kick off art week in New York City on Tuesday, May 3, before Frieze's opening. CONTEXT New York will provide collectors with a leading alternative fair to acquire important works of contemporary art.

Like its hugely successful sister fair CONTEXT Art Miami, which launched during Miami Art Week in 2012, CONTEXT New York’s open atmosphere will create meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform for the presentation of mid-career, emergent and cutting-edge talent by emerging and established galleries. The fair will feature eighty international galleries, vetted by the CONTEXT Selection Committee. CONTEXT New York will provide a unique and alternative opportunity for leading primary dealers and their artists to be marketed and promoted internationally during one of the most important weeks for contemporary art in New York City.

Art Art Miami LLC is a preeminent art fair organization that annually produces: Art Miami, CONTEXT and Aqua Art Miami in December; Palm Beach Modern+Contemporary in January; Art Wynwood in Midtown Miami over President's Day Weekend; Art New York and CONTEXT New York in May; Art Southampton in July; and Art Silicon Valley/San Francisco in October. Art Miami LLC is a partnership consisting of art and media industry veterans Nick Korniloff, Mike Tansey and Brian Tyler.

CONTEXT Miami

CONTEXT, the sister fair to Art Miami, is committed to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists. The fair's open atmosphere creates a meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors while providing the ultimate platform for established and emerging galleries to present cutting-edge and emergent talent. The 75 international galleries vetted by the CONTEXT Selection Committee will exhibit highlights from their gallery programs, solo artist exhibitions and/or curated projects. Now in its third year, the fair will take place in a standalone 60,000-square-foot pavilion directly adjacent to the Art Miami Pavilion. The combined exhibition space will increase the overall roster of galleries to 200 participants and cover 250,000 square feet. Convenient parking is available for both fairs through the use of a four-story parking garage with 2,000 spots, located directly across the street from the Art Miami and CONTEXT Pavilions as well an additional garage a few blocks away. A network of complimentary shuttle buses will run round-trip service between Art Miami, CONTEXT, Aqua Art Miami and Art Basel Miami Beach.
